(Tamil Nadu) actress Trisha,
upset at the circulation of her “morphed nude video” on the Internet, has
lodged a complaint with the police.
The morphed video of the actress
undressing in the bathroom has been in circulation on the Net in Hyderabad
and Chennai for the past ten days.
Trisha has filed a complaint with the
Chennai Commissioner of Police against unknown offenders involved in the
circulation of the video shots on the Net.
Emails with attachments of the shots have been cris-crossing the Net.
Trisha told Chronicle that she had filed a complaint at Chennai as the
morphed shots emerged from there. “It is a morphed picture,” she said.
The
complaint was handed over to Chennai’s Cyber Crime police. I have taken it
seriously.” Posting obscene mails and pictures on the Web is an offence
under the Cyber Crime Act.
“The origin of the files can be found out by identifying the IP
addresses,” said an officer of the Cyber Crime police station. When
contacted, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police V Dinesh Reddy said that issue
had not come to his notice.

Reddy said the issue also attracted action under IPC sections relating to
