27: Beyonce Knowles is planning to release her own range of clothes,
jewellery and perfume.The Destiny's Child singer has signed her
first licensing deal to market her upcoming clothesline House of
Dereon.
She also revealed plans to produce her own line of shoes,
accessories, jewellery and perfume.
The Tarrant Apparel Group will make the clothes for Beyonce's
company, which she named after her grandmother Agnes Dereon who worked
as a steamstress.
The line is due to hit stores in the US this autumn. It will
include ready-to-wear, sportswear and denim, reports the New York
Post.
Beyonce, 23, said: "There will be a lot of sexy tops, sweaters and
party dresses, things that I would wear either on or off the red
carpet."
Tina Knowles, the singer's mother and business partner in Beyond
Productions which will help oversee the development and marketing of
the House of Dereon, said the line will feature a lot of "beading and
detailing."
The line will target women aged 18 to 28 and will be competitively
priced, a spokesperson for the company said.
Cory Silverstein of Kids Headquarters, Beyond Productions'
licensing and development partners, said that next up for the company
are licensing deals for shoes, accessories, jewellery and fragrances. |
