LA, OCT 15: Former child movie star Tatum O'Neal is spilling the beans on
the antics of her famous father and his pals in a shocking tell-all book
that has Hollywood quaking.

O'Neal, now 40, claimed she was sexually
abused by a friend of Ryan O'Neal, dragged to an opium orgy at the age of
12 by film star Melanie Griffith and fought off advances from a young
Michael Jackson.
The actress, who became the youngest Oscar winner in history when she
won the best supporting actress award for 1973's Paper Moon when
she was 10, also suggested that her father may have punched her out
jealousy.
When O'Neal told her father she had been molested by a family friend,
Love Story star Ryan O'Neal blamed her for leading the friend on,
the book A Paper Life recounted.
Feeling betrayed, the youngster got drunk and slit her wrists, but
survived and turned to drugs to escape the reality of her Tinseltown life,
she wrote.
"I remained Ryans companion on the Hollywood party circuit, growing
inured to sex and drugs before I was in my teens," she wrote.
"A needy little girl, still haunted by neglect, I clung to him and even
to the women in his life -- Bianca Jagger, Angelica Huston, Melanie
Griffith, and many more.
"However, the more love I craved, the more distant and abusive he grew,
emotionally and physically," wrote the actress who went on to marry and
divorce tennis star John McEnroe, who she described as a "punishing" man.
Ryan O'Neal and Melanie Griffith's representatives could be reached for
comment on the allegations against them.

After her parents split up, Tatum O'Neal went to live with her mother
Joanna Moore on a dingy ranch, where she claims she was tormented by her
mother and her lover and later moved back to her father's house.
In the book, she described an attempt by a 17-year-old Michael Jackson
to seduce her in the 1970s.
"Michael, who was sweating profusely, seemed as intimidated as I was. He
jumped up nervously and said, 'Uh ... gotta go'," she wrote.
In 1986, O'Neal married McEnroe but claimed he took out his tennis court
frustrations on her at home, sometimes hitting her, an allegation which he
denied in his own 2002 autobiography.
She descended into heroin addiction and later lost the custody of her
three children by McEnroe when the pair divorced in 1994. (AFP) |
