Britney auctions bra for charity OCT 4: Pop star and new mum Britney Spears has rifled through her closet in the name of charity. She’s auctioned loads of personal items — including a jewel-encrusted bra — to help raise money for people affected by recent hurricanes. Britney (23) has given clothing, furniture and jewelry to be sold to the highest bidder on Internet auction site eBay, with money going to the Mississippi Hurricane Recovery Fund. The auctioned items also include a pair of blue-and-pink jeans, and an autographed top with ‘I Have The Golden Ticket’ written on it. The auction opened on Saturday and runs through this week. The highest bid so far is $10,000 for the jewel-encrusted bra, which Britney wore in one of her saucy videos. A posting on her website reads: “This is a great opportunity to get some cool (and rare) Britney items while contributing to a very important cause!” Britney, who married dancer Kevin Federline earlier this year, recently gave birth to a boy, her first child. But it seems nappy-changing and sleepless nights haven’t got in the way of her charitable streak. Britney’s home state of Louisiana and nearby Mississippi were battered by Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita last month.   Barrels of booze for Madonna OCT 4: Madonna is having gallons of her favorite beer shipped to her front door, after finding out that it’s not available near her home in Wiltshire. The pop queen apparently fell in love with Timothy Taylor’s Landlord bitter after drinking a pint in a pub in Soho, London. The singer had 72-pint firkins sent 443 km from the brewery to her £9 million mansion at a price of £80 each. Timothy Taylor brewer boss Charles Dent, who sent the casks to the singer from the brewery, said, “It’s a jolly good beer and a lot of girls like it.” Actor Hugh Grant is also a fan of the award-winning beer, which has been brewed since 1858.
