But insiders say Lena Katina and Julia Volkova have managed it, sort of, with admissions their lesbian routine was purely an act and a new focus on men.

One insider told The Sun: "The truth is, the girls were never lesbians in the first place. "They feel like they were exploited the first time round - they were only 14 and 15 when they started doing sexy routines. "They still want to be controversial and shocking. They want to look and act hotter than ever, but not as lesbians. "Gone are their schoolgirl uniforms and in come a range of sexy, more grown up outfits.

Their comeback single, due out later this year, looks as if it will be produced by Trevor Horn, who was behind their earlier songs.

She reportedly filmed the commercial for the Elizabeth Arden fragrance in Los Angeles last month.

It is said to show Spears with a man looking like her fiance Kevin Federline walking up to a hotel's front desk and exchanging glances.

He checks into his room and a short while later a knock reveals the 22-year-old blonde beauty outside.

The rest is the province of even steamier MTV videos.

The clip will debut on her newly-launched Elizabeth Arden website for Britney Spears Beauty.

The perfume is described on the site as "an exhilarating white floral accented with Louisiana Magnolia wrapped in the sensuality of vanilla-infused musk".

Britney has insisted that her perfume contains all the "right" elements to give women a sensual high.

"It's very sensual smelling. It's got a little bit of a vanilla musk to it, but not too sweet. It's very sexy, ladies.

I seriously suggest to be sexy, to go out and get it, seriously," Ratethemusic, quoted her as saying.
