JAN 24 - There is quite a buzz around the tie up
between the exclusive brands Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Karan Johars KABHI
ALVIDA NA KEHNA. The exclusive brand is being associated with
the film in a big way with Amisha Patel wearing the brand.
Amisha incidentally has the biggest collection
of the exclusive brand in Bollywood. She
literally swears by Louis Vuitton and has an unparallel collection
of Louis handbags.
Amisha was recently chosen from Bollywood by French designer Louis Vuitton to share the red carpet with Uma Thurman, Sharon Stone and
Salma Hayek in Paris.
Louis Vuitton entered the Indian market almost three years ago with
its watch brand Tag Heuer. Now they have 60 retail points in
cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore,
Coimbatore and many others. Apart from this, they have exclusive
brand boutiques in the major metros. They plan to increase its reach
this year by opening more boutiques.
"In a short span of time we have gained about 15 per cent of
the market share and are on course to meet our financial targets,"
LVMH president and CEO of its watches and
jewelry division, Asia Pacific, Ravi Thakran said. “We have achieved
what we set out do in the country,” he added.
Big fashion and lifestyle brand names are already in India in a big
way and have been attempting to penetrate Bollywood for branding.
Gabbana, the Mumbai-based fashion retailer has already taken the
Bollywood route for the endorsement of projects like Family,
Bluff Master and Ek Ajnabee in association with Percept
Group’s branding company P9.
Gabbana’s first association was with
Ek Ajnabee and next was Abhishek Bachchan’s Bluff Master. |
