MUMBAI, OCT 20: Australia's cricketers have headed into various
directions and on various pursuits during four days off ahead of the
third Test in Nagpur. While most squad members have chosen to spend
the break poolside at the team's hotel in Mumbai, Matthew Hayden is
indulging one of his passions by heading for a fishing trip near Goa on
India's south-west coast.
His opening partner Justin Langer was in Mumbai on Wednesday helping
launch a diamond company from his home state of Western Australia,
while others to indulge in promotional work in India's business capital
included pacemen Glenn McGrath, Jason Gillespie and Brett Lee.
Adam Gilchrist, Michael Clarke and Damien Martyn are spending the
break far away from cricket in Singapore, as is coach John Buchanan.
The squad is expected to finally welcome captain Ricky Ponting in
Mumbai on Saturday before flying to Nagpur that night for Tuesday's
third Test.
Ponting, recovering from a broken thumb, will not play in Nagpur but
is expecting to be fit for the fourth and possibly deciding Test in
Mumbai from November 3.
