 Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi
A funky roller-coaster entertainer

Still from Vaah! Life Ho To AisiJAN 04 - Kudos some say to to Mahesh Manjrekar, the maker of ‘Viruddh’ who has chosen a subject that is inspired by two Hollywood films ‘Bruce Almighty” and “Bedazzled”. Some say it's a copy-cat! We say it's a bomb, at best an average.

It is however different ball game in Bollywood this time as the package comes out as a funky roller-coaster entertainer. It is in short okay, may not be a paisa vasool unless you r a movie addict.

The successful pairing of Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao hits the mark in this film. A light-hearted fun packed film “Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi” with its emotional moments and good music is made for children and urban audiences. This sci-fi thriller has loads of special effects in which Sanjay Dutt is a surprise package. He, as the god of death, breathes life into the film and makes it interesting.

Dutt, in his usual inimitable style, drives home a point: He is just cut out for such roles. Prem Chopra -- and his repetitive villainy -- not only looks incongruous but also unnecessary. It's time he retired.

Shahid Kapoor tries hard to give a good performance and succeeds to a large extent. Amrita Rao makes most of the few scenes that she has and brings a grace to her part. Arshad Warsi is excellent in comedy scenes. Himesh Reshamniya compositions are trendy and upbeat.
