Sometimes people end up making films even with a bad
subject. Deepak Anand knows how to narrate a story well, even if it is
a bad story and with a decent cast.
Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai is one such film
which you might have heard of many a times. If you had seen the
recent Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai or the
slightly older Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman or
even Shri 420 you would know what this
film is all about.
A
young man Arjun (Nakul Kapoor) comes to the city in search of fame. He
is a rustic singer who was appreciated by Naina (Aarti Chhabria) and
her friends when they visited Jaisalmer. He wins her mother's (Rati
Agnihotri) and sisters' hearts too.
With the aid of Naina and one of her friends (Raghubir Yadav), Arjun
tries to look for work. He meets various musicians and when things
don't work out, Naina arranges a road show for him where the sexy
Bobby (Kim Sharma) sees Arjun's show and falls for him.
She tries her best too, but when things don't work out Bobby starts a
music company with her father's (Dilip Tahil) money to promote Arjun.
Arjun's music works and he turns out to be a big hit. But Bobby who
has fallen for him realises that he does not love her, but in turn
loves Naina instead.
A distraught Bobby decides to kill Arjun and sets forth to do so. She
shoots him in the arm, but realises that she loves him a lot. She
leaves the place and her car falls off the cliff as she drive in a fit
of anger.
She survives, but is rendered a quadriplegic for life.
But Arjun is thankful to her for what she has done and thanks her in
an award acceptance speech when he bags an award for his singing.
Performances are good and upbeat. Kim Sharma looks sexy too. Direction
is competent, but the script is too old. As far as the music is
concerned, it is packaged well.
But, a better script could have produced a better product.
