Benazir in NY to meet Zardari By Masood Haider NEW YORK OCT 19. The Chairperson of Pakistan Peoples Party, Benazir Bhutto arrived in New York Tuesday night to meet with her husband Asif Ali Zardari who is recuperating after a medical procedure in a New York hospital last month. Ms Bhutto, is staying with her husband at a local hotel, a PPP source said. This is the first time since Mr.Zardari's arrival in New York for the treatment of a heart ailment that his wife the former Prime Minister has visited him. Although Mr.Zardari has been meeting with his close friends and an occasional journalist he has refused to speak to the reporters on record. Ms Bhutto is expected to fly to Washington, DC to meet with PPP workers there. It is not clear whether Mr.Zardari will accompany her. Related article: Benazir, Zardari: Is It the End Game?
