India's new president has been the designer and constructor of missiles like Prithvi, Naag, Trishul, Agni etc. He was the guiding spirit behind India's missiles defense programme. Shri Kalam has been recipient of Bharat Ratna.

Dr. Abdul Faquir Jalaluddin Abdul Kalam was born on 15.10.1931 in Leo navansh of Sagittarius Ascendant. In his birth chart presence of Sun and Mercury in 10th house is a Rajyog. This is a combination of lords of 9th house and two kendras, called Laxminarayan yog. This incorporates 7th, 9th and 10th houses. Mercury is chief player in it. Combination of Ketu and Mercury makes the native an extraordinarily learned person. An interesting feature of shri Kalam's horoscope is that Sun is Atmkarak and Mercury is Amatya karak. This is Jaimini's Amatya Yog. Mercury is also forming Bhadra yog , one of Panch Mahapurush Yogas. The moon is in 12th house , forming Vipreet Rajyoga.

There are many other rajyogas present in the horoscope such as srinath yog, Parijat Yog and Yogas that make him dexterous in warfare techniques. Rahu in 4th house and Ketu in 10th are also very fortunate.

The ascendant's nakshatra is Mool and Moon is present in Jyeshtha. The writer of Jatak parijat has written that such native is highly skilled and learned and he attains moksha.

The Sagittarius ascendant is attributed to researchers and persons attached to quest of knowledge. It's lord Jupiter is himself a symbol of higher knowledge. In Dr. Kalam's horoscope, the ascendant lord Jupiter is exalted in 8th house. The 8th house indicates departure from body. This yog makes Dr. Kalam a high level scientist, thinker and researcher. In intellectual astrology, the second house is of restraints and third house indicates asanas. The second house has influence of 1st lord while the third house is being aspected by Saturn present in ascendant. This combination makes native a brave person having traits of a saint. He must posses a retained mind. Saturn himself is significator of Moksha. Such a native is always busy in his pursuit of goals without self interests.
