APR 22 - Aamir Khan starter "Rang De Basanti" is going places. The
film is being taken on a tour to US universities. “It's a 10-day
tour and the first halt would be at the university in Eastern
Michigan, said director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, adding that Ohio
and probably Miami are also part of the tour.

The director said that during the campus tour they would be
interacting with the faculty, students and academicians, discussing
and analyzing the film and getting their feedback.
"There's no doubt "Rang De Basanti" has gone way beyond borders.
"I'll have to agree with that. One of the themes that they want to
discuss during my US visit is how the film has connected with the
youth all over the world. I must say I am humbled by what's
happening to 'Rang De Basanti', though I am still very shy of
acknowledging its impact," Mehra said.
Music director A.R. Rehman would join the director during the US
tour.
Recently, “Rang De Basanti” was screened at the Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Madras campus. A R Rahman had organized the event
in collaboration with US based Global Rhythms World Music Ensemble.
Miami-based Srinivas Krishnan, Artistic Director of Global Rhythms
who was present during the campus screening had told Des Pardes
about the US tour of A R Rehman.
It’s however still not known whether the star cast “Rang De Basanti”
comprising some of the big names of Bollywood movies would also
accompany the director to USA or not.
