Of all the
lip-locks being showered on the Bollywood screen off late,
the latest one is in the film Salaam-e-Ishq.
But what sets this smooch apart from the others is that the
duo involved have a wide difference in their age. In Nikhil
Advani’s Salaam-e-Ishq Anil Kapoor smooches his
co-star Anjana Sukhani who is probably half his age.
When asked Anil
Kapoor about the kiss, he replied, “I started smooching
since Jaanbaaz in which I kissed Dimple Kapadia and
have continued to do so till Musafir where I kiss
Sameera Reddy. And well, you will see me kissing again in
Salaam-E-Ishq.”
So, is it not a
problem to kiss actresses who are so younger to him? “No,
if it is a part of the script, then I don’t mind.” replies
Kapoor. In the film, Juhi Chawla plays Anil’s wife while
Anjana is the other woman who enters their perfect family
and things go bizarre.
Anjana Sukhani however has a different story to tell. “I
wasn't told that I'll be doing a smooching scene in the
film. I wasn't prepared for it.” says Anjana.
In fact, she was
shocked to know about it. “I was almost in tears when I
came to know about it. I was so uncomfortable and nervous
while doing it but Anil is a really great person and he
made my work easy.”
Salaam-E-Ishq stars Salman
Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Govinda, Shannon Esrechowitz, John
Abraham, Vidya Balan, Akshaye Khanna, Ayesha Takia, Sohail
Khan, Isha Koppikar, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Anjana
Sukhani and Karan Johar.
The movie weaves six parallel love stories together thanks
to the relationships of the people within it. The film will
be Advani's second directorial venture after Kal Ho Naa
Ho. It is slated for release on January 25. |

12 - Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's family on Thursday denied the strong
buzz in the film fraternity that the actor had married a starlet named
Maanyata, saying if he was married, he would announce it to the world.
Tinseltown was abuzz with talk about Sanjay's marriage to Maanyata aka
Dilnawaz Shaikh after a tabloid carried a front page story quoting the
actor as saying that he had married her on November 19. The duo were
photographed at a recent awards function, entering and leaving the
venue together. But no one knows that the Dutt family is strongly
opposed to this match, reported Mid-Day today.
According to a close source to the family, the Dutt parivaar is up in
arms against Maanyata. Sanjay has been married twice before, first to
Richa Sharma, with whom he has a daughter Trishala and later to model
Rhea Pillai. |
