Ex-President's daughter bares lurid sex life

Kris AquinoMANILA, SEP 25: A daughter of respected ex-Philippine president Corazon Aquino bared lurid details of her break-up with her married lover on national television, calling him a womaniser who gave her a sexually-transmitted disease.

An emotional Kris Aquino said she was so disgusted with Joey Marquez, a city mayor and her lover for more than a year, that she set fire to their bed and tried to "crush" his genitals during a quarrel Monday that led to their break-up.

For almost an hour during prime time late Wednesday on ABS-CBN television, the 32-year-old youngest daughter of ex-president Aquino made a candid and emotional confession about her tempestous affair with Marquez.

Aquino, displaying bruises on her arms, went to national police headquarters on Tuesday complaining of "physical violence" and "emotional terrorism."

When asked by the television interviewer to elaborate on her medical problem, she said: "This can destroy me. He gave me a sexually transmitted disease in August.

"I sought treatment because I was bleeding profusely. You see, that only means that his womanising is incurable," said Aquino, host of two popular television talk shows and a star of several movies.

Kris AquinoShe has been a fixture on the politically-linked Philippine showbiz scene for years, and bore a child, now seven, out of wedlock with a married movie star.

Her private life has long been fodder for the country's showbiz tabloids, particularly after she admitted last year that she was having an affair with Marquez, much to the distress of her devoutly Catholic mother.

In a statement on a competing television channel, Marquez, a TV comedian and former basketball star, denied the accusations and said he was not one to "wash one's dirty linen in public."

"Besides it is unbecoming for a man to say something against a woman regardless of the circumstances," Marquez said. "Especially among Filipinos, you can be labeled gay if you fight or say things against women."
