JAN 15 - 'Strings' which recently became a sensation
across the great Wagah divide, has added another feather to its
cap after having composed the great musical soundtracks for the film
'Zinda'
along with Indian singer Shibani Kashyan.

'Zinda'
which was released recently in theaters all over India, has 13
original soundtracks ("ZINDA CLUB" - six soundtracks, "ZINDA
LOUNGE" - seven soundtracks).
The banging and showing of the enigmatic and powerful rock brand
"Strings" is one of this year's rollicking soundtracks
"Yeh Hai
Meri Kahaani" (k rap mix), says an Indian news report.
Duo singers - Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood of 'Strings' - pump out
zestful passion in this rollicking soundtrack which has been
making waves in India for almost a month.
The original soundtrack has already a rage and this "K RAP MIX"
will cater to DJ's fraternity for making dance floors crazy,
says the report.
Anwar Maqsood's (Faisal Kapadia's father) lyrics are poetically
inclined and speak of the tyranny and suffering of the
'Zinda'
protagonist (played by Sanjay Dutt) in couplets and verses. This autobiographically
composed soundtrack features in another version in the "ZINDA
LOUNGE". No matter how the film fares but this soundtrack will
hit chartbusters in big way.
The extremities of emotions can be felt with the fine blend of
stringed and auto-phonic instruments in the "Strings" finely
conceived "Yeh Hai Meri Kahaani" song. Anwar
Maqsood's poetically rendered verses are sung by John Abraham in
his sonorous voice in the movie
'Zinda'.
Shuja Haider's
musical works well with the vocal rendition of Faisal and Bilal.

This is undoubtedly one of the finest soundtracks
of the year and to make it more worthy it was played on the
concluding day of "IIFF" Goa.
If the film is able to gather promising box collections, then
this can be one of the hottest selling albums of the year
Last year in December, Strings participated in India's MTV
Immies 2005 Award show held in Mumbai, which drew stars Ali
Zafar, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Euphoria, Jal also. These Pakistani
ambassadors of goodwill enthralled the Indian audience with
their scintillating performances in collaboration with the
Indian music stars.
'Strings' had 2005 as a good year. They were selected as
Pakistan UNICEF National Ambassadors for HIV and AIDS inspectors
when they put up a performance at the United Nations Secretariat
in New York.
In February, the group was invited to New Delhi where they
participated in a charity function for Indian Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh’s fund for tsunami victims. The duo’s unplugged
performance of ‘Naa Jaaney Kyun’ was dedicated to the
tsunami victims.
