NEW JERSEY, DEC 15: Bollywood actors want to organize a mega show, in
collaboration with the Pakistani film and TV industries, in Karachi to
generate funds for the quake-affected people, said visiting Indian movie
star Shatrughan Sinha, also known as Shotgun Sinha.
“Indian film stars intend to come to Pakistan to participate in a show
to collect funds for the affected people of the Oct 8 earthquake,” said
Indian film star and politician, Shatrughan Sinha, during a gathering
hosted in his honor by the Pakistan Film and TV Journalists Associations
in Karachi on Thursday.

Consummate actor that he is, film star-turned-politician Shatrughan
Sinha, is a Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajya Sabha member also.
BJP used his talents as a star campaigner to win over voters and their
votes. But those who have voted for other parties tell that he is the
right guy in the wrong party.
BJP awarded Sinha the health ministership in their 2002 cabinet, while
Vinod Khanna, another actor-turned-politician got the position of
minister of state for tourism and culture.
According to Sinha, " The actor in me borrows from the politician and
the politician in me borrows from the actor. Acting is my profession
while politics is my obsession."
Sinha's nickname refers to the macho roles he played in action thrillers
before entering the political arena.

Three well-known Bollywood actresses have also sat in Parliament -
Shabana Azmi, Vyjayantimala Bali and Jayapradha. Azmi is still a sitting
member of the Upper House.
Indo-Pak showbiz personalities have started interacting a lot ever since
the two countries this year decided to resolve their differences
including Kashmir issue peacefully.
Last week, the MTV Immies 2005 Award show held in Mumbai, drew stars from
Pakistan also - Ali Zafar, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Euphoria, Jal and Strings,
who enthralled the audience with their scintillating performances in
collaboration with the Indian music stars.
